Huss & Dalton Blackwood/Cedar CM

Another Gryphon Custom Order, this time with Australian Blackwood and Western Red Cedar for the top. Blackwood is an acacia, as is koa, and the density, grain structure, and figure is similar. When combined with a deep body, the result is plenty of bass but with clarity in the treble, plus the quick response and warmth you'd expect from a cedar top. This combination is ideal for alternate tunings, as you still get excellent bass and balance. The neck is 1 23/32'' at the nut. That's ebony binding, by the way, not black plastic!
