New Judy Threet C Custom, long scale

Who says small guitars can't deliver both volume and bass response? Have a friend play this guitar versus much larger instruments while you're blindfolded, and we'll bet you'll swear it's a 16 inch jumbo.
Judy often uses a short scale on this body size, which is only 14 1/2 inches wide at the lower bout, but on this one she used a full 25 1/2 scale fretboard. The resulting sound is like a deep-bodied O size guitar on steroids, yet it's warm and smooth in tone and responds quickly to a very light touch if needed. The woods are Indian Rosewood and Sitka spruce.
And the headstock inlay? What can you say about such a deceptively simple rendering of an Aspen trunk and branch? This entire guitar is a lesson in "less is much more than you'd expect." A smaller size, in this case, equals more tone and volume, and the decoration is elegant without being elaborate or distracting.
Judy is currently building less than a dozen guitars per year. 'Nuff said.......
