Sergei de jonge Koa/Cedar Deep OM

Note that even the NECK is highly figured koa, and the cedar top has unusual bear-claw-like figuring as well. The soundhole rosette is spalted Box Elder. The koa on this guitar is so lively it seems to dance in the light, but you don't have to count on this guitar's looks for all the thrills. The sound has the clarity you expect from koa, with the cedar providing warmth and smoothness, responding to even the lightest touch.

Unlike most contemporary builders of steel-string guitars, Sergei works with very few jigs and fixtures. No two de Jonge guitars are alike, and each one has unique qualities in both tone and decoration.
