Collings D-2H Adirondack 1 3/4''

At Last!!! Collings agreed to make a limited number of Indian Rosewood models with Adirondack spruce tops. We ordered ours with the "Dalmation" pickguards, sometimes called a Clarence White or CW pickguard, because they were used for Collings Clarence White models only for many years (and yes, they do cost extra).

This particular D-2HA has the wider, 1 3/4 inch neck (measured at the nut), but we also have a nearly identical model with the narrower, 1 11/16 inch neck, and that one is also a bit less money, as Collings charges extra for the wider neck.

The sound? This one has a more meaty, resonant bottom end than our Sitka top D-2H models, but still with lots of clarity in the trebles. Typical Collings definition to each note makes this guitar a joy for playing either lead or backup.
