Bacon Silver Bell #1
One of the cleanest B & D Silverbells we've had in
recent years, as it has a remarkably intact finish and very
nice plating as well. The hole in the shell for the knee mute
lever is there, but there are no clamp marks on the dowel
stick so the lever assembly was clearly never installed. Also
has a Bestone armrest. The original case is in good shape,
but is not as clean as the banjo and has some tape on the
edges. Frets are in good shape, with only slight finger wear
to the ebony fretboard in the lower positions. A very nice
and original instrument from one of the best manufacturers
of the tenor banjo's golden age.
