1958 Martin 00-18
Probably the cleanest 00-18 we've had in ages, and despite
the gleaming finish rest assured that this one is 100% original.
There are a few scars to the side of the headstock (probably
from sloppy use of a peg winder), and very minor button marks
on the back, but that's it. No fret wear, no pick scratches,
etc. No repair work has ever been done, except lowering the
action at the saddle. The action is moderate, and the original
ivory saddle is quite low, so if you want slinky action a
neck reset would be required, for which we'll quote a special
low price. However, considering the remarkable originality
of this guitar, and the fact that it plays quite well as is,
we felt the decision "to reset or not to reset"
should be left to the new owner.
