1919 Gibson F-4
It's difficult to say exactly when this F-4 went back
to Kalamazoo for a new top and new finish, but since the pickguard
looks like the ones Gibson used on F-7 models, and the soundhole
rosette matches F-4 models from the late 1930s, we're assuming
the work was done sometime before WWII. Lots of lovely figure
in the sides as well as the back (a rarity for F-4s), accented
by an artfully shaded brownish sunburst. Original tuners and
tailpiece. Great sound, a nice straight neck with good frets,
and a price that's less than 2/3 of what an all-original F-4
of this vintage, and in this condition, would sell for.
