When first looking at this guitar, my eyes were not sure what to look at first; the amazing sunburst finish, or the gorgeous Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, bridge and headstock overlay. One can't forget the contast of the firestripe pickguard with the top color, either. What a stunner!
Many of us here at Gryphon (myself definitely included) love short scale guitars; the ease of playability combined with shorter stretches between frets makes for a wonderful playing experience.
Many folks worry about loss of bass and volume when playing a short scale guitar. While that may be the case with many instruments, it definitely is not an issue with this guitar. The bass is very bold and strident, with a softer treble response than is commonly heard in a Collings CJ mahogany. The treble has strong clairty, but without any hints of zingy-ness.
