Gryphon 80/20 (Bronze)
These round wound acoustic strings are made and packaged by D'Addario with our Gryphon logo. The only difference is these do not have color-coded string balls. Choose 80/20s (sometimes labeled as 'Bronze') for a little brighter bass, but a slightly shorter life with that "new string" sound. Available in light (12 - 52) or Medium (13 -56).

Pearse Phosphor Bronze
Our best selling Pearse string set. Pearse wound strings have a slightly larger diameter core wire, which tends to result in slightly higher string tension than other sets of the same gauge. This makes the medium gauge very popular with flatpickers, while those who play on light gauge often find that Pearse lights help cure buzzing under aggressive playing.

Pyramid Gold Flatwound
These strings are unlike other flatwound strings due to their incredible tone. Typically, flatwounds are noted for a thuddy sound with little sustain; Pyramid flats have a powerful growl and a unique, compressed sustain with the flatwound advantage of reduced finger noise. Curious about their tone? Pyramid flats are the sound of the early to mid-period Beatles recordings (as well as most other '60's British invasion greats). If you've wondered how to copy the tones heard on the intros to 'Day Tripper' and 'I Feel Fine', these strings just may be your ticket to ride. Available in 6 and 12 string electric sets, as well as short scale bass sets (key to Paul McCartney's thick, clear bass tone). The wound strings in these sets remain toneful and true for a long, long time.

Hilo Ukulele Strings
Hilo strings are the traditional black nylon string that I remember as a kid back in the late fifties and sixties. They have a sweeter tone than the snappier modern strings . They remind me of the 'Old Days', for which I have a great affection. So if you want that retro look and sound, give them a try.
