Aleister is a Palo Alto native who caught the lutherie bug when he found an Epiphone Les Paul junior while hauling rubbish to the dump. His experience with the Epiphone inspired him to dive into guitar building and repairing and soon he was attending the Roberto-Venn School of Lutherie learning everything he could about the craft. Like Brian, instructors there told us he was a natural talent and Frank convinced him to join the Gryphon repair dept. in 2010.
Aleister plays a variety of guitar styles and has studied music composition. He builds guitars in his home workshop and is also learning about violin repair. |
