Details
This was originally a tenor, and although the 5-string neck made to convert it to a 5-string is very well done we're not sure of the neck-maker's name. Whoever it was certainly knew what they were doing and not only got the headstock shape, neck heel, and other details right they also preserved the original Vega dowel stick. We're guessing the new 5-string neck was done at least 25 years ago, and probably earlier. With the exception of the repro No-Knot tailpiece, the shell and all it's parts are original, including the Vega-branded armrest. A great-sounding Tubaphone with a straight neck that shows lots of curly figure.
