The User-Friendly Fretboard, Part One: Learning where to find any note on the guitar fingerboard is essential to understanding how scales and chords are put together. If you’ve been wanting to gain a better understanding of the fretboard, scales, and chords, this class will provide you with a logical, easy-to-understand approach. We’ll start by breaking down first position chords into three-note chords (called triads), and learn how to move these up the neck. Lots of fun, musical examples and studies are included! (Monday, 6:30-7:25pm).
Fingerstyle Fundamentals: Learn proper hand position and solid technique to bring your fingerstyle playing to the next level. We’ll cover a varied repertoire including traditional and modern folk, blues, pop, easy classical, and Latin styles. (Monday, 7:30-8:25pm)
Eight-week group classes start Monday October 8 and run through Monday December 3 (no classes Monday Nov. 5). Cost is $180 per class (take both classes and get $20 off!). Classes are 55 minutes in length. Register by going to www.edbjohnson.com
