Details
A remarkably original one-owner '63 ES-345, and an example without the usual negatives that often plague these models. For starters, the dark cherry red finish is unfaded, as the original owner kept his prize guitar in its case when he wasn't playing it. Another plus is that the Stereo Varitone hasn't been messed with, all the internal wiring is as it was when it left Kalamazoo 60 years ago. That includes patent number humbuckers (one of the stickers is missing the number, the other PU's sticker is complete). And everything else is original as well, including frets, tuners, bridge, stop tailpiece, and even the pickguard, The gold plating on the bridge, tailpiece, and pickup covers is tarnished, there's some lacquer checking to the original finish of course, all reminders that this ES-345TDSV was played and enjoyed, but received exceptional care. Comes with the original black Stone Case Co. hardshell, which is also in exceptional condition.
