Details
One of the rarest of the Flying V reissues, with a 3-piece Korina body and 3-piece Korina neck (this example has low C series serial number). It has been played, so there are indentations in the finish on the back, probably more from jean rivets than from belt buckles, and the only wear through the finish to wood is along the upper edge of the back (bass side), and along the upper treble side edge of the neck, from the players hand . Original Shaw-era humbuckers, 2 original pots (with earlier pot codes than the serial number date, typical during this period), one replaced pot. Original frets, tuners, and all other parts. There is wear to the plating on the bridge and V-shaped strings anchor below it. There is a shallow hairline crack in the middle section of the back, but being a very solid solidbody guitar this isn't dangerous. Comfy weight under 6 3/4 lbs, so reward your shoulders!m Includes original brown case. This was appraised by Gruhn Guitars in late September of this year.
