1987 Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard 5-string Banjo Used
Depending on which list you reference, this Earl Scruggs Standard is from late 1987 or very early 1988. But regardless of the year it has the early Earl Scruggs Standard features, including the small headstock and "honey maple" finish, plus the blue felt pen Earl Scruggs signature on the label (which is a real signature, it wasn't printed). Except for the replaced head and Scorpion bridge, and new strings of course, it appears to be original throughout (original tuner buttons are in the case). It's in excellent condition with very little fret wear. The curly maple resonator has some surface wear and the typical finish crazing. Original case with Gibson stencil.
