Details
There's Brazilian rosewood, and then there's highly figured perfectly book-matched Brazilian rosewood. This SCGC OM has the kind of Dalbergia nigra that has made the wood so desirable it's now an endangered and protected species. The spruce top has lots of "bear claw" figure to catch the eye, not to mention the pearl- bordered top and highly inlaid fingerboard with snowflake designs on each bridge tip as well. In summary, this was a custom-ordered Santa Cruz OM with top-of-the-line everything. It also sounds great, with a rich reverby bass response for such a relatively moderate size guitar. It has been played, there's light fret wear and some pick and/or finger wear to the pickguard, plus very light surface wear to the lacquer on the top here and there. But it's always been handled carefully, and the lacquer has settled into the wood grain giving it a nice patina overall. The K & K Pure Mini pickup (passive) will handle any needs to plug-in. Comes with the original TKL case.
