The wood oak leaves inlay pattern on the fingerboard is echoed in the engraved pattern on the rosette, a nice touch.  This model was issued without the usual Taylor pickguard, but of course a 'guard could easily be added if you prefer.   The beautiful even-grained Engelmann spruce top gives a warmer tone than you expect from a mahogany Dreadnought. This has been played, although carefully, so there's some light fret wear and also light finger scuffs to the top where a pickguard would be.   No cracks, damage, or changes of any kind, has been fitted with an ES2 pickup system.
