Fender’s Custom Shop really nailed the color, feel and general vibe of a 1960 white pickguard/slab rosewood fretboard with this Tele, and thanks to the hand-wound pickups the sound is equally convincing.You gotta feel, though, for the guy who did such a great job spraying the pristine black finish on this Tele and then had to see it given years of crazing and wear just a few days later. But Fender's Custom Shop, to their credit, gave it a very believable relic treatment. This version has a 1960 vibe with a white pickguard, slab rosewood fretboard and a 1960-style oval “C” neck shape. This guitar is loaded with hand-wound ‘58 Telecaster pickups, a three way switch and modern Tele wiring. The frets show very little wear so we’re going to assume that the scratched, nicks and dings are from the factory. Includes the original tweed case and all the case candy and COA.
