{"product_id":"kamaka-hf-36-tenor-6-string-ukulele-new-12765","title":"Kamaka HF-36 Tenor 6-String Ukulele New","description":"The Kamaka HF-36, also known as the Lili’u, was developed in the late 1950s by Sam Kamaka Jr to commemorate Hawaii’s statehood and to honor Liliʻuokalani, Hawaii’s last reigning monarch. This tenor ukulele has an unusual 6-string tuning. The third and first strings are doubled (those pairs of strings are tuned an octave apart, as on a 12-string guitar) and since both strings in the third string pair are plain nylon they're easy to fret. This stringing gives the uke a rich, full tone with a lot of \"chime\" that works very well for rhythm playing. If you haven't played a 6-string tenor you'll be surprised how easy it is to get that \"two ukes\" tone. Like all new Kamaka instruments, the HF-36 is impeccably crafted. The top, back and sides are solid Hawaiian koa and they have thin satin-sheen finish. This shows the koa grain and color to advantage and is yet another example of how the Kamaka crew keeps raising the bar and making their ukuleles even better. Includes a Kamaka hardshell case.","brand":"Kamaka Hawaii","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":43005000319175,"sku":"KAMHF36-221316","price":1995.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0503\/4947\/3991\/files\/1112871.jpg?v=1780475262","url":"https:\/\/www.gryphonstrings.com\/products\/kamaka-hf-36-tenor-6-string-ukulele-new-12765","provider":"Gryphon Strings","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
