Details
We ordered this OME Wizard with a 12-inch head, a maple neck and shell and a maple tone rim. (Think of it as a wooden tone ring.) The dense maple neck and large head combine to deliver a strong clear tone, but the scooped fingerboard allows you to play away from the bridge for a more mellow tone. The neck and shell are hand stained in a lovely raw sienna color. This is not a "plunky" sounding instrument when you move your right hand closer to the bridge, it's loud and would make a great string band banjo that you don't have to flog to be heard. The antiqued brass hardware gives it a beautiful look and the wooden armrest is more comfy than the typical cold metal armrest or tension hoop. Price includes a hard shell case.
