Details
Here's an SCGC Tony Rice model with a difference, both visually and under the hood. The top braces are Adirondack spruce and the soundboard is constructed with hot animal hide glue. Of course what you first notice is the subtle shading of the sunburst top. Then you play it,and your ears take over.
The Tony Rice model was of course one of the first Dreadnoughts specifically made for bluegrass, and it's the guitar that put Santa Cruz on the map for musicians playing that style. This one has all the depth and power you need when playing guitar in groups and jam sessions with all those inherently louder instruments, especially banjos!
