Taylor GS Mini-e Koa Guitars Back in Stock!

Taylor first started using koa in the late 1970s, not long after Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug started the company in 1974. At first the Hawaiian hardwood was only used on custom orders but by the mid-1980s the Koa Series was part of the standard line. Over the decades, Taylor’s koa guitars have undergone a number of cosmetic and structural changes but the one constant has always been the visual and sonic beauty of the tropical tonewood.

Taylor’s GS Mini is our most popular line of guitar and the koa topped version is our most popular GS Mini. Because of the pandemic, supplies have been scarce. Happily, Taylor was able to send us a batch of this beautiful little guitar. The koa tops vary quite a lot in figure and color so we have posted a few of them so you can pick your favorite.

The award-winning GS Mini was designed to be the ultimate musical companion, wherever you go — or stay. Inspired by the big, bold sound of Taylor’s GS body shape, the Mini scales things down without skimping on sound, packing a ton of tone into a comfortable travel size and giving you a guitar that’s full-voiced and incredibly fun to play. Think of the Mini as a modern-day parlor guitar, perfect for playing around the house but also built to fit an active lifestyle.
