Details
Fresh from a local estate, this is probably the cleanest and most original early National Tricone Gryphon has offered. All the parts are original (including the cones) the German silver (nickel silver) body and neck have no significant dents or seam separations, and even the original hardshell case has survived. There's no sign anything on this early National was changed except the strings!
There are light scratches to the surface, this guitar did see some playing time back in the day, but apparently it's just been waiting in its case for the last 70+ or so years waiting for its next assignment (the fingerpicks, thumbpick, and Oahu and Elton steels in the case pocket all date to the pre-WWII era). For anyone who appreciates time capsule vintage instruments, this National Style 1 Tricone is a rare opportunity.
