Return Policy

Instruments and Amplifiers

Phone and Web Orders

Instruments and/or amps have a two-day approval period. If the instrument/amp is to be returned, customer must call Gryphon within 48 hours of receiving it, and item(s) must be shipped back to Gryphon by the third business day. Customer must ship UPS or Fed Ex prepaid, using the same service as when received, (example: overnight, 2 day, 3 day or ground). Pack carefully! Any instrument/amp shipped on approval, and its carrying case, must remain in factory original condition when returned, including all instructions, warranties and tags. If used, item must be in same condition as when shipped.
After Gryphon receives the returned item, we will refund the purchase price, excluding outbound shipping. There is a 3% restocking/processing fee if the item is returned. This fee applies to orders canceled before shipment, as well.

In Store

Customer has 48 hours to return the instrument for a full refund. If returned after 48 hours, but within 7 days, the customer will receive a store credit.

Other Stuff


Accessories: customer must return items for a full refund within 10 business days of the original date of purchase. No returns after 10 days. Item must include original packaging and sales receipt. Original factory packaging must be in perfect condition (don’t tear open the packaging!)

Special Orders

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required. Approval period does not apply to special orders. Special orders are considered SOLD when they arrive, unless other arrangements have been agreed upon by both Gryphon and the customer. Any such special arrangement must be in writing.


The layaway term is 30 days. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required. If you change your mind about the instrument or can’t make the final payment the deposit will be converted to store credit.
