Details
This Gibson L-00 was made in Kalamazoo in 1937 and it has all the articulation, punch and projection that have made this model from this era one of our most requested vintage guitars. For a guitar coming up on its 90th birthday this L-00 is in great structural and cosmetic condition. The finish, internal bracing, bridge plate and tuning machines are original. The only changes are the addition of a new bone saddle and maybe the bridge pins. The neck has a distinct V-shape with rounded shoulders and the typical 1930s chunkiness. The nut measures 1 23/32", so just a smidge under 1 3/4", and the string spacing at the bridge is 2-3/8". The action measures 5/32” on the low E at the 12th fret with 3/32” of saddle height above the bridge top. There is a well-repaired crack in bass side near the waist, but there are no other cracks. Includes a newish hardshell case that's a good fit.
