Details
Here's a prime example of how seriously Gibson treated the archtop acoustic guitar 70 years ago. While this model was priced well below their flagship L-5, the L-50 was still given a solid, carved spruce top and the same neck inlays and binding as the newly introduced Les Paul electric. And at this point in the L-50's evolution it shares the body shape of Gibson's 16 inch L-5 models of the 1920s, talk about a model with a lot of history!
This example has the original finish throughout, plus original tuners(replaced buttons), frets, bridge, and pickguard (the tailpiece you see here is a correct-style replacement, the original tailpiece is in the case but has a very fragile hinge). A period DeArmond "monkey on a stick" pickup which was on this guitar when it landed here is also included. The case is an excellent newish TKL hardshell.
