Details
One of the nicest '60s 00-21 Martins Gryphon has offered in a long while, original throughout and has just had a neck reset and refret here at Gryphon. Beautiful vertical grain Brazilian rosewood on both the back and the sides, the kind that makes guitar-wood lovers swoon. Spruce top has a few nicks and dings as this guitar did get played back in the day. One repaired hairline to the back that has been repaired and you'll have trouble finding.
Nice warm tone, more bass response than is typical for this model. A great example of what was, when this was made, the only rosewood 12-fret model Martin offered, and one with direct and continuous links to the Style 21 models of the 19th century but braced for steel strings. During the Folk Revival, the 00-21 was often called the "Josh White model" although there was never an official endorsement.
Comes with newer hardshell case
