Details
This D-35 is from very early January of 1967, just a couple of years after the model was introduced in 1965. The top is Sitka spruce and the back and sides are made from Brazilian rosewood. This guitar has its original tuners and faux tortoiseshell-colored celluloid pickguard. It's had a professional neck reset and refret, and the finish is original except for some overspray to the back of the neck. There's some weather checking to the finish on the top, and light wear throughout. Thanks to the lighter 1/4" top bracing Martin used on these early D-35 models, the sound is big and bold with lots of that Brazilian Dreadnought rumble Martins like this are known for. The only crack is a slight pickguard shrinkage hairline under the B string. Includes a recent hardshell case.
