Details
The Goodall Crossover blends steel string playability and classical guitar tone and projection. This guitar is voiced for clarity and projection in the treble range with a richness and sustain making them suitable for strumming as well as fingerstyle playing with equally satisfying results. It has a master-grade Red Cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides. Because the neck meets the body at the 14th fret, rather than the 12th as is typical for Spanish-style instruments, the placement of the bridge is altered slightly, giving the guitar a bit more bite. Aside from the tone, there are numerous other features found on this guitar that are more commonly associated with steel string construction, such as the radiused fingerboard and slimmer neck. While the 1 7/8” nut width isn’t quite as slim as your typical steel string, it is noticeably slimmer than your usual classical, meaning that you have plenty of room for fingerstyle, but can also easily strum with a pick if so desired.
Cosmetically, this guitar is in excellent condition. Aside from a few minor scratches near the bridge and a few scratches on the back, the guitar is in immaculate condition and has been well-maintained in its 21 years. The frets are in pristine condition and the neck is in perfect shape for smooth playability.
