Yep, it's used, but if it weren't for some light shirt-button squiggles to the finish on the back, this 000-28E Modern Deluxe could almost pass for new. Except for the factory-installed Fishman Aura VT Blend pickup system, this example is the same as the standard 000-28 Modern Deluxe. We've been impressed with the combination of vintage features and new-tech upgrades on these Modern Deluxe models, such as the slightly harder gold frets and a carbon fiber bridge plate. One distinct plus with the 000 version is that you get the lower string tension of the slightly shorter string scale, but with the additional comfort of a slightly wider (1 3/4" at the nut) neck. There's virtually no fret wear (not surprising considering the harder frets), and only one hard-to-find ding on the top. A great combination of 000-Martin playability and sounds-bigger-than-it-looks tone. Comes with original case.
