Gibson has continued to tweak their reissues of the iconic J-45, and this version is both lighter in weight with a more lively tone than previous versions we've tried. Along with scalloped top bracing (yes, Gibson was still scalloping the braces in the mid-1950s), they've also gone to far lighter back bracing as well. The result is a sunburst slope-shoulder Gibson that sounds as good as it looks, and one that delivers the "body feedback" acoustic players cherish in their vintage originals. And of course there's the enhanced playability of the 24 3/4" string scale. Comes with factory-installed (active) Baggs VTC pickup. Even with the pickup and battery this J-45 weighs well under 4 lbs!
