Details
Back by popular demand, in its most historic form, is the Martin 0-17. Now, as part of Martin’s Standard Series, this all-mahogany 0-body guitar has everything you’d expect out of a Standard Series instrument, with a traditional dovetail neck joint and the Golden Era-inspired scalloped spruce X-bracing. This guitar has a sound very reminiscent of those old pre-war 17-Series Martins, with a playability that rivals any high-end modern acoustic. Like its predecessors, this guitar has the short 24.9” scale length and sports the GE Modified Low Oval neck shape, which was redesigned with the new Standard Series models in 2025.
Additional features include a satin finish, a true ebony fingerboard and bridge, and nickel open-gear Grover tuners. With tons of clarity and punchy mids, this guitar would be entirely at home in the hands of a fingerstyle player, a singer/songwriter, and studio musicians alike. Not only are we happy that the 0-17 is making a comeback in a more historically accurate outfit, but we have been very impressed with these new versions. It comes with a Martin-branded wooden hardshell case.
