Details
This Pre-War Guitars Company Triple-0 Mahogany is in excellent, lightly played condition. Since it has a distressed finish it’s difficult to say which nicks, dings and scuffs are original, but from the lack of wear to the frets, we suspect this guitar is in pretty much the condition it was in when it left the workshop.
We're not sure how the folks at Pre-War do it, but this mahogany 000 really does play and sound like a late 1930s guitar by you-know-who. Although they call the coloring on the top "Iced T-burst" it's actually very much like the shaded top finish found on early 1930s OM-18 models. Thanks to the shorter 24.9" string scale, and the slightly rolled fingerboard edges, the neck feels and plays as vintage as the guitar looks and sounds (the nicely finished EVO frets help). This example has Pre-War's 1.5 Distress Level, which means there's lacquer crazing and light finish wear added. Nicely balanced bass and trebles, plenty of volume, an easy instrument to tuck under your arm. It all comes together with this guitar. The original case is in equally clean condition.
