Details
Something you don’t often see us doing is selling vintage cases, but we couldn’t pass up taking this one on. This is an original c.1955- early '58 Fender Lacquer Tweed Stratocaster Case with the Koylon foam interior and original Koylon patch. It’s the “knuckle-buster” style with the latch located right under the handle. These are getting very hard to find, and when they do show up, they usually aren’t in as good condition as this one is. All of the latches function, the Koylon lining has no tears, and there are no unpleasant odors or stains inside. The rubber trim is also in great shape, with no rips or missing pieces. As you can see in the photos, the interior still has that deep, vibrant red color you want to see on these earlier cases, rather than the more burnt orange-y interior found on later ones. The only notable issue is that some of the stitching is missing from the center seam of the handle, though it still functions perfectly fine. If you’ve been looking for a rare vintage Fender case in great shape to pair with your Strat(or Tele), this is a great opportunity that we may not see again for a long time.
