Although this SCGC OM has the shorter string scale, you'd never guess it by the way it sounds. Maybe it's the European spruce top, which is lighter than Sitka and responds well to lower tension, or maybe it's the Adirondack spruce bracing with hide glue construction, but whatever it is sure works. This OM responds to the lightest touch but still has plenty of headroom when you need to play more forcefully. Maybe your ears won't notice the difference in scale length, but your left hand will. Lower string tension and slightly less stretch needed for difficult chord positions means you'll be able to play longer with less fatigue.
