Taylor’s revamped 514ce brings a thoughtful set of next-generation updates to an industry classic. Just like in year’s past, this one pairs mahogany back and sides with a Western Red cedar top, giving it a warm, focused midrange. Because of its cedar top, it’s especially rewarding when played with a lighter touch, but has enough headroom to cover a wide range of playing styles. Internally, Taylor’s Scalloped V-Class bracing adds a bit more volume and sustain. The Action Control Neck is another practical upgrade, making neck angle adjustments easy. Aesthetically, it keeps things clean but distinctive, with a full-body gloss finish, green abalone rosette, and understated Meridian inlays. It’s also equipped with Taylor’s Claria electronics, a versatile under saddle pickup, making it a reliable option for playing live. This new 514ce stays true to its roots by being a versatile workhorse guitar, with the new features bringing it seamlessly into the modern world of guitar playing. It comes in a deluxe hardshell case.
