The 5-string Deering Goodtime is our most popular open-back banjo and an excellent value for a beginning or intermediate picker looking to get into the banjo world. This variation is fitted with a humbucking Kavanjo pickup, which makes it easy to plug into a guitar amp or PA system. It features a 3-ply maple rim. The Goodtime tailpiece is Deering’s own design and the tension hoop is rolled in-house from raw metal.
