Details
The Super HD-28, as its name implies, is bigger than your average HD-28. The dimensions of the top are slightly, but uniformly, larger than the standard Martin Dreadnought footprint (the body depth remains the same as a standard dreadnought), giving it more volume and projection. This translates to a fuller sound overall, without being over-saturated by low-end alone. The result is a guitar that is loud, punchy, deep, but clear like a piano. This guitar does not lack in the classic Martin “woodiness” whatsoever. Its Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, and Golden Era scalloped X-braces, preserve its D-28tonal nature. The white binding, abalone inlays, satin finished neck, and ebony fingerboard and bridge complete the fit and finish. This is an excellent option for any dreadnought player who really wants to cut through a band and really be heard. It comes with Martin’s C345 wooden hardshell case.
