Details
This Rick Turner Compose Rose Mini-Jumbo tenor ukulele was made in 2013 and it’s in excellent lightly played condition. Rick Turner based the shape of this uke on the early Super 400 with the smaller upper bout. And while "micro jumbo" describes the body shape, it sure doesn't describe the tone as this is a loud and lively tenor uke. The sound port in the upper side really aims the sound at the player, it's like having an acoustic monitor in your lap. It also has a cantilevered fretboard that floats above the top so it doesn’t dampen the tone. This is one of the fanciest Compass Rose uses we have seen and the abalone purpling adds a lovely spark to the Sequoia redwood top. The back and sides are Amazon rosewood.
