Details
The Rickenbacker 360/12 is probably the brand’s most iconic silhouette and style. These guitars helped shape the sound of the 1960s and were favored by bands such as The Beatles, The Byrds, and The Who. Being one of the first production electric 12-string guitars, it quickly dominated the charts, and its unmistakable jangle sound can be heard on songs like The Byrds’ version of “Mr. Tambourine,” The Beatles “A Hard Day's Night,” and many more classic songs from that era and on.
It utilizes a slotted headstock in which the normal 6-string pegs are sticking out to the side, but the second set sticks out the back of the headstock. Unlike acoustic 12-strings, the courses are strung with the low string first, toward the bass side, and octave string next; so, when you strum, you hit the low string first. It also features a second “Rick-O-Sound” output jack, which is used with a Y-splitter stereo cable, so you can run both pickups into separate amps.
This very clean 360/12 in the “Jetglo” finish is indicative of that iconic style used during the ‘60s, but has some key modern features that make it an everyday workhorse guitar. It features Rickenbacker’s Hi-Gain single-coil pickups, which retain that bright, chiming tone while offering more output and less volume drop when switching between guitars with humbuckers. This guitar is in excellent condition with almost no noticeable playwear. It comes with its original Rickenbacker hardshell case.
