Details
Dating Martin ukes can be problematic since they have no serial numbers and Martin went long periods making no changes to standard popular models like this 1T. But this is certainly from before the neck was changed to 14 fret clear in 1960, and these Grover Champion tuners with black buttons were first used around 1946. The color of the faux tortoiseshell celluloid body binding is consistent with mid-1950s so we're sticking with that approximate date.
The original lacquer has some crazing and playing wear but there are no cracks or significant dings and it sounds great.
