Handmade using gorgeously figured solid Acacia, the ATSH PC Tenor by Pono is a delightful ukulele that offers everything you would want in an instrument: stunning visuals, and great tone.
As a tonewood, Acacia is quite similar to Koa (in fact, Koa is a type of Acacia) and delivers a clear, sweet sound with plenty of volume. Cosmetically, this uke is in very good condition, though there are a few dings of note, the most notable of which is a little bit of scuffing near the binding on the treble side lower bout. Most likely this was caused by an unfortunate run-in with the case; the wear is not immediately apparent, but if you look at an angle under the light, it is easy to spot. Otherwise, the frets are in perfect condition, and the action is nice and low.
