You normally think of a mahogany OM, especially a Collings version, as being a pretty bright-sounding guitar. Sure there's bass response, but thanks to mahogany and a long scale the trebles and midrange rule and the bass isn't exactly "warm". But this OM1 Traditional with Adirondack top will challenge that assessment, maybe even assumptions about what OMs sound like. There's plenty of brightness and balance, but the bass is far bigger, more open, and with lots more sustain. The ample head room means your right hand can wander farther from the bridge, which also gives you more warmth. A great example of why you can never be sure what a guitar will sound like based on model codes and specs.
Although fret wear is minimal this has been played, and there's some light surface wear to the finish on the top (small nicks and dings around soundhole, some pick scratches, etc). The back is nearly perfect, but there are some dings to the back of the neck and on the lower (treble) side.
A great sounding guitar!
