Details
Here's a classic Fender steel at a "steal" of a price. Originally introduced in 1948, the Fender Champ Lap Steel helped lay the groundwork for many of Leo Fender's later electric guitar designs. Introduced as a student model, it quickly became a staple for Hawaiian steel and Western Swing players. This model from 1964 is all original except for the tuning buttons, which were replaced here in the shop. The blonde finish is in great shape, with normal light playwear and nice finish checking you’d expect from a 62-year-old instrument. The tone is excellent, as to be expected, and the original green felt slip pad is still intact and in beautiful condition. It comes with its original hardshell case.
