Details
The neck on this Fender Telecaster is stamped "3 Jun 68 B" making it a CBS-era Tele. Happily for Tele fans, Fender was too busy back then redesigning the Strat and coming with new models like the Bronco, the Coronado and the Newporter. As a result, this is very much like a Telecaster from four or five years earlier just with different tuners and headstock logo, plus a big F on the neckplate. Overall, this guitar is in excellent structural and good cosmetic condition. The body finish has a fair amount of checking and wear. The finish on the back of the neck is worn but this guitar’s previous owners had clean hands because while the wood is bare in places, it isn’t stained. The pickups are original but the volume pot has been replaced. The knobs and switch tip are original, though. It does have its original F-Stamp gears, but at some point in the past it had another set of gears installed. All the other hardware is original and the bridge cover is included. The guitar was recently refretted by Gryphon, So it plays like a new guitar. The original hardshell case is included but it’s a little scuffed around the edges.
