This 1975 Martin D-35 is about as original as a fifty+ years-old Martin could be, at least one that's been played enough to wear out the frets, and it's a local one-owner guitar. Our Repair Dept. just gave it the "soft overhaul" most Martins of this age need to be fully playable by contemporary standards: neck reset, complete refret, and the original black pickguard removed and reglued (because it was lifting and curling). There are no cracks anywhere, the mark you see in the top in these photos is about the only noticeable ding to the original finish, although there is some crazing (weather checking) to the lacquer on the soundboard . Tuners and bridge are original, all internal bracing is unchanged.
One minor change is that a strap button was mounted to the bass side upper bout, that's been removed and its mounting hole filled. Oh, and there's a crack in the fingerboard binding at the 9th fret position dot.
This D-35 is early enough that it has the original specs with 1/4" top bracing. (so it's more than just a D-28 with 3-piece back and neck binding). A great sounding Martin Dreadnought with a very comfy neck.
