Details
Guild was Martin's strongest competitor when this D-55 was made, and it only takes a few strums of this one to understand why. This rosewood dreadnought has a rich, focused bass with clear, ringing trebles, and an overall vibe that is pure Guild. The D-55 was the more deluxe version of Guild's popular D-50, it has additional binding and fancier neck inlay), and a slender neck that plays like an electric guitar. This one is in excellent condition, but does have the usual binding cracks on the neck usually found on these higher Guild models. There are no cracks to the top, back or sides nor are there any changes, or significant repairs that we can spot. The original plastic truss rod cover at the headstock has been replaced with an ebony version of the same shape. Note that it has the K & K Pure Mini (passive) pickup, and the original hardshell case.
