Details
The Starfire IV was Guild’s answer to the Gibson ES-335. Like the ES-335 it’s a semi-hollow guitar with a pair of humbuckers, but with a distinct visual Guild twist like the stairstep pickguard, lyre tailpiece and pearl block inlays. This example was made in Westerly, Rhode Island in 1977 and it’s in excellent structural and cosmetic condition. It plays as good as new thanks to a recent Gryphon refret job. There some very light shirt-button squiggles to the finish on the back can be detected if you catch it in the light just so, but they don’t show in the photographs. This is a classy Starfire with a twin humbucker tone that's easy to play. The original case is included and is in equally clean condition.
