Details
Since the inception of rock & roll, country music has been an essential part of its DNA, and by the late ’70s that blend was at the forefront with bands like The Eagles and Poco. The Gibson CRS, short for Country Rock Stereo, captures that mix in both its name and sound. It’s loaded with high-output Tarback humbuckers, designed by Bill Lawrence, which are encased in epoxy and deliver a beefy rock tone. When you flip the master coil-split on the lower horn, it shifts into twangy, single-coil territory in the bridge position, and a thick but clear tone in the neck. With both mono and stereo outputs, it’s a versatile instrument that truly lives up to its name. It has a three-piece maple neck with a 1 9/16" nut width, which is great for players who prefer a slim neck. This example is in great shape for its age, showing only minor finish checking and a few small dings. Includes a hardshell case and stereo cable.
