Not quite 20 years old yet, but while this HD-28V has the "settled-lacquer" patina of an older guitar it hasn't seen a lot of playing hours and shows almost zero wear from use. Except for the pearly D-45V, this model was the star of Martin's Vintage Series and has the "High-X" top bracing, ivoroid binding, through-cut saddle, diamonds-and-squares fretboard inlay, and the list goes on. The rosewood is dark and tight-grained, this has all power and rumble you hope for in rosewood Martin Dreadnought. No cracks or repairs, not the strap button in the heel cap.
